Parameters

payload

• Type: string

The signed DDO, as a compact JWT.

hint

• Type: { did: string }

A stable name derived from the DID, for stores that need a key.

Returns

• Type: Promise<StorageObject>

Any pointer shape ocean-node understands:

nautilus wraps it with toRemotePointer — { remote: … } — before writing it on chain. The wrapper must carry exactly one key or the node will not treat it as a remote DDO.
